WE PRESENTED THE NEW FERRARI 296 GTB IN TURIN
We had the pleasure of presenting the new 830hp six-cylinder hybrid from Maranello to our guests from Piedmont.
The new Maranello supercar is the evolution of Ferrari's two-seater mid-rear engined sports berlinetta concept and represents a revolution for Ferrari, as it introduces the new 120° V6 engine coupled with a plug-in electric motor (PHEV) capable of delivering up to 830hp.
The car redefines the idea of fun behind the wheel to ensure pure excitement not only when you're looking for maximum performance, but also in everyday driving.
The 296 GTB, for the first time on a road car bearing the Ferrari logo, is fitted with a 6-cylinder turbocharged engine arranged at a 120° angle. The engine's structure allows the turbochargers to be housed inside the 'V': this increases its compactness, lowers its centre of gravity and reduces its mass, as well as helping to achieve extremely high power levels (663 hp). The new Ferrari V6 sets an absolute record for specific power for a production car: 221 hp/litre.
Its design, inspired by the legendary Ferraris of the past such as the 250 LM, which is strongly recalled in the rear, joins the more innovative ones by taking up the stylistic features typical of the Prancing Horse brand.
At the same time as the presentation of the car, our customers were able to enjoy a virtual tour of the Maranello headquarters using three-dimensional visors specially designed to faithfully reproduce the environments in which these supercars are created.
This was accompanied by outdoor refreshments where we were able, in compliance with the Covid-19 containment regulations, to toast the new arrival and resume the excitement of a new Ferrari launch.
